Terms and Conditions

Lesson Fees

Lessons are charged at £15 for a 30 minute lesson, £20 for a 40 minute lesson, and £30 for a 60 minute lesson. Students aged 7 to 11, 30 minute lesson only.

Payment

Payment for lessons is due on the day of the lesson. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

Missed lessons

24 hours notice is required for cancellation of a lesson or the full lesson fee is payable. Where possible we will offer to make up any missed lessons at another time, but this is subject to availability and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

Illness

If a student is ill on the day of the lesson please contact us as soon as possible. For illness reported with less than 24 hours notice the full lesson fee is payable, but a lesson credit will be issued for the student to re-book a make up lesson at a future time (subject to availability). Lesson credits must be claimed within 6 months of issue. In the interests of everybody’s  health we reserve the right to send home anyone who is unwell.

Lesson times

Students and parents are respectfully asked to arrive at the correct time for the lesson booked as we have no waiting area. If a student is late for a lesson the lesson must still finish on time and the student will forfeit the time missed.

Duration

Younger students may get tired towards the end of the lesson. If this is the case we reserve the right to terminate the lesson early. Missed time can be made up at a later date if requested.

Instruments and books

It is advised that each student has their own instrument and brings them to each lesson (excluding keyboards). Exam books or other study books must be purchased by the student where required.

Parents

A parent of guardian may stay in the lesson if they wish, however we ask that only one person stays as additional on-lookers are generally distracting for the student.
